We bought this for our 3yr. old and 18 month old for Christmas. The kids love the music and sing and dance with it. The toy has been thrown across the room several times on hardwood floors and not a glitch nor a ding on the toy.

I bought this product at Walmart as a gift for my 7 year old son who has special needs. He loves DVD’s but he also loves pushing the buttons and making things happen. I introduced this to him last week before making an 8 hour road trip for the holiday weekend. It was perfect! The buttons are big and he learned what they do very quickly. He’s dropped it and tossed it a few times already. The worse thing that has happened is that the DVD came dislodged. The thing looks like we’ve had it for a long time already because he is very rough with toys, but it has held up wonderfully!I’m thrilled and highly recommend it to anyone who’s child likes to be in control of his dvd player.

Two quick things that I don’t like for my situation, I wish the door could lock so he couldn’t get it open. I am using a small piece of tape to keep him from getting it opened and from scratching the dvds.And it takes a little longer for the dvd to start playing. Children (and parents) will have to learn a little patience. Otherwise, AWESOME!

I had the original tamagotchi when I was small, and was pretty excited to see they still make them. They’re more elaborate than they were, but it’s an improvement. This thing is awesome for those boring lectures, and doesn’t disintegrate when I drop it down a stairwell. If I had a small child, I’d give them a tamagotchi, but since I don’t the fun is all mine.

I bought this unit for my 9-year old daughter. It was easy to use but extremely loud. We live in an apartment and I was worried I was disturbing the neighbors – it really was that loud. It also burned out during the third tumbling step- we probably overloaded it, which is easy to do. I then bought a Lortone tumbler, which was about twice the price of this tumbler (sold on many web sites). However, what a pleasure to use. It has a rubber liner and tumbles so quietly it sound like a day at the ocean. We have tumbled several batches of rocks with the Lortone tumbler with no problems. I suggest ponying up the extra money if noise and durability are important to you.

I replaced our old Ocean Wonders Aquarium soother with this Rainforest Waterfall version about a month and a half ago.The Aquarium was still working and our baby liked the lights and music, but I was looking for something that would play for a longer period of time.With the Aquarium, I had to go in her room and press the button a couple of times before she would fall back asleep.Not fun at 3 or 4 in the morning when all I want to do is fall back asleep.I had read that the Waterfall soother plays for up to 18 minutes, so I thought I’d check it out.

The soother has 3 different length settings: lights, music/sounds, and movement for 6 minutes; lights and music/sounds for 12 minutes; music/sounds only for 18 minutes.There are 3 settings for the sounds: rainforest sounds without music; rainforest sounds and lullabies; rainforest sounds and classical music.There are 3 volume settings as well.

I have ours set for 12 minutes of sounds and lullabies and I rarely have to go back in her room and press the button a second time.She almost instantly settles down once the music starts.If I happen to put her down for a nap or for bed while she’s still awake, she’ll quietly watch the lights and fall asleep on her own.And I’ll admit that hearing the songs and rainforest noises over the baby monitor is soothing and relaxing as I try to fall back asleep.

My only complaint is that the lights seem REALLY bright for something that is supposed to lull a baby to sleep.I ended up covering ours with a light flannel blanket to dull the light a bit.The baby can’t see the critters, but since I don’t have them set to move, it’s not really a big deal.

Despite the bright lights, we’re happy with this soother.

My daughters love these bracelets.I got them to use as birthday party favors – and I have lots left over.The kids like to play with them indoors and outdoors.I may even consider purchasing them for Halloween give-aways. 100 for under $13 is a pretty good price and could help with safety and visibility.They’re pretty bright and lasted well over an hour. (the kids went to bed and I threw them away so I don’t know exactly how long they lasted)
Only drawback – my daughter did a little excessive bending and the bracelet leaked.I don’t know how toxic the chemicals are, so I would NOT recommend this item for younger children especially those who may be putting it in their mouths.

I did a lot of research on toy laptops for my 3 year old.This one had no reviews anywhere that I looked, but the descriptions say that it teaches skills like geography, science, etc.I was looking for something that taught more that the ABCs and 123s because my daughter already knows those.This toy seems to have very low-level games that are hard to access.To get to a specific game, a child would need to memorize specific key sequences that are more complex than the actual game he/she is going to play.I played every game and tried to like it, but I am taking it back.

I bought this thinking it would be like the books or our “I Spy Fantasy” CD-ROM for the computer, but it is nothing like either of these. There is one game choice that is actually an “I Spy” classic game, however, it’s limited to 24 levels, and that’s it.It repeats each time, so, if played often, it quickly becomes old. Another is strictly a matching game, set up like the Frogger game from the “old days” –moving pieces from the bottom of the screen to their match at the top. Don’t get me wrong, my kids enjoy the game.My oldest (8) found it very easy, but it didn’t hold his attention for as long as I thought it would. My youngest (4) really enjoys playing it and has no difficulty maneuvering though the games at all, although he tends to stay on the matching games. It’s definitely a game he will “grow” with -the older kids, probably not so much.All in all, a decent game.

GREAT!! My 9 year old absolutely loves it. His friends wish they would have received one also. I like the idea of the kids having to put it together before they can play with it.
