This card is so incredibly small! But size isn’t everything It works excellent in my SanDisk e260. Very easy to install in the player, if your fingers are small enough! Just make sure it clicks ALL the way in. It’s so tiny and delicate I didn’t want to be too tough on it, so the first attempt at loading it into my player, it was still sticking out a bit, even though it seemed to be installed. Once it’s correctly installed, it gives an audible “click” as it hits home, and sits flush with the outer edge of the player.

Before I purchased the game initially I read some of the reviews on amazon.com. To be honest I really didn’t care what anyone had to say because I knew that I would purchase it regardless. However, people made some important insights.

Cons- There are certain flaws in the gameplay. For example the commentators tend to say the wrong thing at times; things that aren’t even close to the situation. Another con I would say is that the controls are pretty difficult. Things that were basic in the EA sports versions are made much more complicated in this game.

Pros- Despite the cons, I absolutely love this game. I’m not a gamer at all; I only buy sports games, and even then I’m pretty amature. After practicing for a bit, you start getting a hang of the controls. Pitching is a blast in my opinion. Once you understand that you need to place the cursor where you want it to break you can go nuts with it. Offensively the swing stick (once you get the hang of it) can be a lot of fun. Trying to guess the pitch also becomes fun as you get the hang of the game. Plus the graphics are insanely good. Each player’s tendencies are almost spot on.

The reason I rated the game so high is because when you get a better hang of the controls the game allows you to control every aspect of the game. I disliked the game immensely when I first bought it, but after giving it a chance, I’m hooked. The more I play I learn new controls that make the gameplay so much fun. Just force yourself to give it a chance and get into each pitch, each at bat, and this is an amazingly fun game.

One of my guiding principles has always been: Never read a book that has the word “ultra” in the title.

However, interesting perspectives on diet & health intrigue me, & when I saw endorsements from such respected doctors as Dean Ornish, Christiane Northrup & Mehmet Oz, I decided to break my rule and plunge into The UltraMind Solution.

I’m glad I did, for this book is an engaging read that’s full of cutting edge science & practical advice.Dr. Mark Hyman has been on a mission to do medicine & health differently since conventional medical thinking failed him in his own debilitating illness twelve years ago.He convincingly argues that maintaining the body’s health is essential for the brain’s well-being, and that many mental & psychological disorders can be rooted in physical, biochemical derangements in the body’s health & metabolism.

In part one of the book he details the background: his personal story which led to his changed philosophy & practice of medicine.He is an advocate of what is termed functional medicine, a relatively new discipline which focuses on not the established “label the disease, give it a drug” approach but “find what’s functionally wrong behind the patient’s symptoms, then correct the body’s metabolism back to optimum function.”

The second part of the book contain the outline of his “Seven Keys to UltraWellness” (argh! there’s that word again!).He covers optimizing nutrition, balancing hormones, reducing inflammation throughout the body, fixing digestive tract problems, enhancing the body’s detoxification, boosting energy metabolism, & calming the mind itself. The third part of the book covers a six week plan to initiate many of these changes, while the fourth part goes into specifics for each of his seven key areas.

Ok, so what’s the bottom line?There’s a lot of intriguing information and sound advice in the 400+ pages, & I saw nothing that I absolutely disagreed with.Like any diet or health book, he has his own viewpoint & focus, & some of his strategies & recommendations will work better for some than others.This book was a major swing factor in my own decision to try a vegan gluten free caffeine free water only lifestyle, which was difficult but very beneficial for me in multiple areas.I can see this book being useful for two groups of people: First, people who are suffering from problems such as anxiety, depression, “brain fog”, adhd, migraines or other brain related problems might find something helpful or even life-changing in his plan.Other people, like myself, who are interested in new approaches & optimum health will certainly find new concepts & tools that they can implement in their own healthy lifestyle.Either way, an excellent book to read.

Happy Birthday Annette. I just received the 1/25/05 widescreen release of the BTTF trilogy release on 1/27/05, from Amazon/Borders, and I am very pleased.I have viewed all three movies and some of the special features.My set up is a 50 inch widescreen TV and a 6.1 sound system.The sound and vision was excellent.I was reluctant to purchase the trilogy, due to past poor reviews of the widescreen version with errors on disc 2 and 3, with letterbox black bars on the top and bottom.I did not detect any portion of scenes with less picture information or black bars on any of the movies. The viewing screen was filled, in my opinion, perfectly.The 5.1 re-master sounds great and is utilized very well.In fact, I am able to force on my two rear surround speakers in conjunction with my side surround speakers and my decoder fills my room with sound.The most obvious sound effect is within the last 15 minutes of disc one, where a helicopter sounds like it is circling the room from the right to rear to left.The viewer has the feeling of being in the center of the screen.Great Sound…….

The packaging on this new release has a cellophane wrapper indicating – All 3 movies! Lowest Price Ever.Own it before time runs out!Widescreen.I checked the DVDs to try and determine if indeed these were updated versions.The second DVD does have the obvious “V2″(for version 2) on the face near the bottom, after all rights reserved.The third DVD does not have “V2″ on the bottom, as I was hoping.Thereafter, I placed the DVDs in my computer to check the contents date.Disc 1 (that never had any problems) had dates from 2002.Discs 2 and 3 had content dates from 2003.Just to be sure, I put the movie to the test and compared the noted problem scenes on the BTTF framing web site, and found disc three to be correct.So, I am satisfied and believe that I have updated versions of the widescreen DVDs.

NOTE:On a regular TV (Not Widescreen), there are the black letter box bars on the top and bottom of the screen, but they are not visible on my widescreen TV.

4/2/05.I recently watched all three movies for a second time and turned on the trivia track – A great special feature for another viewing.This trilogy is a definite purchase………….

This latest terrific set from Shout! Factory includes four more never before released episodes. Two have Joel Hodgson as host and two are hosted by Mike Nelson. Joel episodes are from the Comedy Channel/Comedy Central shows and the Mike episodes are from the Sci-Fi Channel period of the show. Note that show 101 is the first network episode, a MSTie-must-have for sure!

101- THE CRAWLING EYE
This black and white 1958 film was originally called The Trollenberg Terror and based on an ITV serial. This film version stars Forrest Tucker. A weird tentacled alien creature menaces a small town high in the mountains of Switzerland. This is the very first network episode of MST3K made for the Comedy Channel and it’s been a long, long time since this one was shown even compared to other episodes of the unfortunately canceled show so many MSTies still have likely not seen this, but everyone should. A lot of things would be changed and improved on the show in coming episodes, but this one gives fans a fascinating window into the show’s early development and of course, it’s funny! The movie itself used to be a weekend and late night staple on UHF channels across the US and I saw it many times as a child. Needless to say, Joel and the ‘Bots make it more fun. There’s a call-back to this episode in the final episode of MST3K.

415- THE BEATNIKS (with short: GENERAL HOSPITAL PT 2)
Paul Frees directed this black and white film in 1960. It concerns a young man’s attempt to make it big as a recording artist while trying to escape from the grip of his criminally inclined childhood friends. It contains the much loved MST3K catch-phrases “shut up, Iris, shut up I tell you” and “I killed that fat barkeep” along with the song, “Leather Coat” as fans might call it. A highly entertaining episode. MST3K even makes the dismal General Hospital short hilarious. This episode first aired on the Turkey Day 1992 marathon and it’s a fan favorite.

910- THE FINAL SACRIFICE
This 78-minute color 1990 film from Canada has a hero named “Zap Rowsdower”, an annoying youth who tags along with him, some weird cultists in cheap outfits and not much else. It stars no one and has nothing to recommend it. Maybe that’s why it’s become a favorite among many fans over the years. Perhaps it’s sort of the Canadian “Manos: Hands of Fate”! The writer/director’s name is Tjardus Greidanus. In any case, find out what the buzz is about and don’t miss this.

1005- BLOOD WATERS OF DR. Z
This 1975 horror film is also known by many alternate titles such as “Zaat” and “Dr. Z”. It was directed by Don Barton and stars no one and has a cheap monster, but these schlocky horror films always worked well for the MST3K writers and this one is no exception. Of course there’s a mad scientist out for revenge against those that scoffed at his ideas, thereby proving them correct when they “said he was mad”. Bad monster schlock equals good jokes on the SOL.
